A little history
In 2006, during the construction of housing, excavations uncovered Mesolithic sites on the positions of former banks of the Somme and the Selle. A Gallo-Roman cemetery yielded vases, pottery and coins, to the east of the village, at the lieux-dits le Sépulcre and la Vierge Catherine. Saleux was destroyed by the Burgundians of Charles le Téméraire in 1472. The Spanish invasions of 1636 ravaged Saleux.
