A little history
The new commune brings together the communes of Blaslay, Charrais, Cheneché, Varennes and Vendeuvre-du-Poitou, which became délégué communes on 1 January 2017. Its chef-lieu is located at Vendeuvre-du-Poitou. On 1 January 2019, Varennes joined the new commune by prefectoral order of 22 November 2018.
