A little history
The site has been inhabited since the Neolithic period [-9000 -3300], as attested by the discovery of numerous stone tools. In the 19th century, around twenty objects were found scattered across the territory (axes, knives, scrapers, spearheads). A chipped stone axe, a knife of the same workmanship and another polished stone axe were found at la Croix-Boisée. Several others were unearthed at le Fléau. Another, measuring 15 cm and made of flint, was found in 1889 in the area of Fosseuil. One of polished stone measuring 25 cm was found during the alteration of the route of the route nationale 10 (currently RD 906) on the côte d'Hymer. Yet another was found in the grounds of the château (de Voisins).
