A little history
Traces of human presence on the communal territory are attested from the Middle Palaeolithic. Excavation works carried out in the 2010s at the clinique de l'Alliance made it possible to identify a substantial lithic industry of Mousterian culture. The prehistoric artefacts were uncovered through the digging of several trenches and test pits. The lithic material collected, spread over an area extending between 4,000 and 5,000 m², comprises a total of 485 pieces (197 classified by reference number and 288 spalls), including 6 blades, 10 cores, four with Levallois knapping, one with lamellar knapping and five undifferentiated, 444 flakes and 7 frost-shattered blocks.
