La commune s'étage d'est en ouest de l'altitude 385 m vers la Tronchia sur le Piémont Rhodanien pour s’élever à 1 364 m au crêt de l'Oeillon en passant par le site des Trois Dents. Le territoire communal s'étend donc dans les reliefs collinaires et montagneux surplombant la rive droite du Rhône, au nord-ouest de la gorge de Malleval.
