A little history
Pulnetum is thought to derive from a foal-rearing establishment during the Gallo-Roman period. The Roman road linking the Donon and Scarpone passed through the commune. The village (Purneriaca) was given to the Benedictine abbey of Bouxières-aux-Dames, and the charter of enfranchisement was drawn up in 1293. The fief of Pulnoy came under the châtellenie and the bailliage of Nancy.
