A little history
The first mention of the parish of Pont-Scorff dates from 1235. In the 12th and 13th centuries, Pont-Scorff was the seat of the seigneurial jurisdiction of la Roche-Moisan, whose château stood on the right bank of the Scorff at Arzano and whose lordship comprised the parishes of Arzano, Guilligomarc'h, Rédéné, Groix, Gestel, Quéven, Ploemeur, Meslan and Pont-Scorff. In 1382, at the end of the Guerre de succession de Bretagne, the Duke of Bretagne Jean IV made a gift of la Roche-Moisan to the Viscount Jean Ier de Rohan, a member of the family of Rohan-Guémené.
