A little history
The bishop of Vannes had a residence there at Kérango. The bishops of the diocese of Vannes would customarily spend the summer there. In December 1873, 165 inhabitants of the communes of Crédin, Plescop, La Gacilly and Missiriac "beseeched the Assemblée nationale to proclaim Henri V king of France". In 1887 a delegation of royalists from Vannes, Arradon, Plescop, Sarzeau, Theix, l'Île-aux-Moines and Saint-Avé travelled to Jersey in order to meet the comte de Paris, who was living there in exile.
