A little history
André Le Fèvre d'Ormesson became the owner of the lands of the former village of Amboile and its château by marrying in 1604 the daughter of Nicolas Le Prévost, seigneur d'Amboile. Their son Olivier (1616-1685), a member of the Chambre de justice tasked with trying Nicolas Fouquet for the crime of lèse-majesté, saved his life by refusing the false documents fabricated by Colbert. He is credited with this response to an envoy of the King or of Colbert, "La Cour rend des arrêts, non des services", which earned him the definitive disgrace of Louis XIV. This family returned to favour under Louis XV with Henri François de Paule d'Ormesson, intendant de finances.
