A little history
A number of tools, the great majority of them Neolithic and a few perhaps Palaeolithic, were found on several occasions, and Neolithic pits were identified in the sand quarries at the end of the 19th century, at the lieu-dit les Hautes Bornes, a site still mentioned in error as being in Choisy-le-Roi. Isolated discoveries took place in the said sand quarries at the end of the 19th century and then at the beginning of the 20th century, near les Hautes Bornes, but also at les Grands Vœux and at the Trou d'Enfer, marking out an old road from Ablon known as the Haut Chemin, Butte du Trou d'Enfer, whose ancient paving came to light.
