A little history
Whilst the seigneurie de Noisy was created as early as 1525 by Guillaume Poyet, lawyer and future chancellor of France, the château was built by Albert de Gondi, duc de Retz, from 1575. Louis XIV acquired it in 1676 and incorporated it into the royal estate. Madame de Maintenon then established a school for young girls there for a time, which subsequently moved to Saint-Cyr. The château was demolished in 1732.
