The name of the commune of Narrosse appears in the Liber Rubeus (Livre Rouge) of the cathedral of Dax, dating from the end of the 11th century, and the parish was then called Sanctus Stephanus de Bedoiosse. In the cahier de doléances of 1789, the name Bedoiosse had evolved into Bédiosse.
