A little history
The history of this village begins in the year 587, during the time of Queen Brunehilde, when the treaty of Andelot established peace between the kingdoms of Austrasie and Burgondie. The Comte d'Aurillac held this lordship in 1009. The castrum was conquered, in 1176, by the Comtes de Toulouse from the Trencavel. The last followers of the Cathar heresy came to hide there in 1312.
