The église Saint-Pierre de Mennecy was built in the 13th century on the site of a former church, probably Romanesque. What today constitutes the locality of Mennecy formed in the 14th century three quite distinct possessions. The village of Mennecy depended on the collégiale Notre-Dame de Corbeil. The farm of la Verville depended on the abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay. Villeroy depended on Notre-Dame de Paris. The estate comprised a small village and a church, dedicated to Notre-Dame. In the 15th century, the fief of Villeroy belonged to Jean du Monceau.
