A little history
The territory of Ménéac has been occupied since the Neolithic period, as evidenced by the various menhirs located within the commune, for example in the villages of Camblot and Bellouan. At the lieu-dit of Val Bodron, a Gaulish agricultural settlement was built on a site already occupied during the Bronze Age. This farm dedicated to cereal farming was abandoned at the end of the final La Tène period, then partially reoccupied until the 1st century. At the lieu-dit of l'Épine Fort, a significant Gaulish agricultural settlement was uncovered in 2020.
