A little history
Prehistoric and Gallo-Roman presence. The vicinal road from Maxéville to Champigneulles is said by some to be an old Roman road. This tradition could be supported by the discovery of the remains of a Roman camp in the wood that overlooks this road and the valley of Champigneulles. This road is called chemin de la Justice, on account of the gallows that stood at its far end.
