The architectural heritage of the commune includes two listed buildings protected under the historic monuments legislation, the chapelle Notre-Dame, listed in 1988, and the manoir de Curlande, listed in 2001.
A little history
The first mention of the village dates back to the 11th century. It is said to have been given by a lord of the Rouergue to the prieuré de Conques. From the 13th century onwards, the village of Marcillac-Vallon was governed by consuls. In 1351, the town was protected by a surrounding wall.
