A little history
Various prehistoric remains have been found in the canton de Luzy, two Neanderthal hand axes at Fléty itself, and various tools at Fléty, Millay, Poil and Savigny-Poil-Fol. For the Neolithic period, a menhir dating from around 4,000 years before our era was found at Chigy (now Vallées de la Vanne) and two bronze axes at Luzy (around −1,300). At the oppidum du Mont Dosne (400 metres long and 100 metres wide), two flint tools were found at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Traces of walls, ditches and belvederes were also found there.
