A little history
A milestone was found at Longueau. Longueau was a fief of the Chapitre cathédral d'Amiens but other fiefs existed in the commune, which had an échevinage in 1252. The existence of a leper colony is attested in 1277. From the 14th century onwards, peat was extracted from the marshes.
