Le Plessis-Trévise, the town
Le Plessis-Trévise covers 4.3 km², lies between 88 and 111 m above sea level and had 21,112 inhabitants in the 2023 census.
Le Plessis-Trévise is a French commune situated in the Val-de-Marne département, in the Île-de-France region. Of recent settlement, it has had an administrative existence since 1899 and became urbanised mainly from the 1950s onwards. Its inhabitants are known as the Plesséens.
A little history
Originally, the hamlet consisted of two separate estates, Le Plessis-Saint-Antoine and Le Plessis La Lande. In 1776, the prince de Conti united the estates, thus sketching out the territory of what would become Le Plessis-Trévise, which was at that time shared between the communes of Villiers-sur-Marne, La Queue-en-Brie and Chennevières-sur-Marne. Around the middle of the 19th century, the current territory of the commune of Le Plessis-Trévise was almost entirely wooded and barely fifty people lived there permanently. In 1857, following the death of the duchesse de Trévise, her heirs entrusted Jean Augustin Ardouin with the task of dividing up the estate and turning it into housing plots.

Buying in Le Plessis-Trévise
Reading the €2,970 to €4,309 band is a buyer’s main tool in Le Plessis-Trévise. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Prices moving down give a buyer room to discuss, provided the argument rests on comparable sales rather than on the trend itself.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
