En 2000, la commune adhère à la communauté de communes Les Vallons de la Tour, puis en 2017 à la communauté de communes Les Vals du Dauphiné, intercommunalité plus importante et dont le siège est fixé dans la ville voisine de La Tour-du-Pin et ses habitants sont dénommés les Passageois.
