A little history
The village of Le Champ-Saint-Père grew up on the banks of the Graon (which was much wider than it is today), most likely at the lieu-dit la Nanté. Remains of pottery would attest to this fact. The village then developed as it spread northeastwards. Le Champ-Saint-Père had its moment of glory when Henri IV passed through the region in 1584.
