A little history
La Membrolle-sur-Choisille was, until 1873, a hamlet within the commune of Mettray, but it had grown so much that it had become larger than the main village. The two villages were then separated to form two independent communes. The commune has seen strong development since the 1970s, driven by demographic growth supported by its proximity to the city of Tours. Housing estates have developed, such as the pavilions known as "Mazagran", which brought 150 new dwellings and 300 inhabitants to the commune during the 2010s.
