A little history
Pupils from the C.E.S. Yves du Manoir are said to have discovered a Gallo-Roman site at the lieu-dit La Burthe in 1973-74. In his Répertoire archéologique de la Gironde, E. Piganeau noted in 1897 a crossroads cross from the 15th century, another crossroads cross dating from 1617 at Bellecroix, and the Château de la Molère, formerly known as de Feuillas, where the duc d'Épernon rallied his troops, who had been defeated by the people of Bordeaux on 29 December 1649.
