Ennezat is a French commune situated in the département of Puy-de-Dôme, in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Located at the heart of the Grande Limagne, Ennezat is close to the town of Riom and forms part of the latter's agglomération community. It also forms part of the vast aire d'attraction of Clermont-Ferrand.
A little history
The site was occupied early by the Gauls and the Romans, who settled on mounds (various debris was discovered there, probably pre-Celtic in origin). It was an important thoroughfare (owing to its geographical situation, Ennezat opens onto the Bassin Parisien), a crossroads between several terroirs (mountains, hillsides, cereal plains), like all the towns of Limagne.
