A little history
Circular enclosures exist from the Iron Age on the territory of Donzy at the Hallstatt period, one at les Chandeliers measuring nearly 35 m in diameter, as well as a smaller one at le Champ des Cabets, with a diameter of 25 m. From the La Tène period, square enclosures for funerary use exist at les Poiriers, near the Bois des Avis, three close to one another, two measuring 16 m and the third 10 m per side, with a path to the east and pits. Another is situated near Crézan and measures 22 m per side with an ovoid structure, and a smaller one of 8 m per side in the neighbouring plot. Traces of pathways were identified in the Bois de l'Éminence, along with quadrangular enclosures.
