Creys-Mépieu is a French commune located in the département of Isère, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Formed by the merger of two communes in 1989, both of which were former parishes of the royal province of Dauphiné during the Ancien Régime, the commune of Creys-Mépieu is a member of the communauté de communes Les Balcons du Dauphiné, whose headquarters are based in Arandon-Passins. Its territory is home in particular to the nuclear site of Creys-Malville, known as Superphénix, situated on the banks of the Rhône.
