A little history
Corbigny was formerly one of the first stopping points for pilgrims who had set out from Vézelay bound for Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. In this town they paid their respects to the local relics, highly controversial, of saint Léonard. Corbigny served as chef-lieu de district from 1790 to 1795. To this day, Corbigny has remained an attractive town within a slowly depopulating rural environment.
