A little history
The site has been occupied since prehistoric times (Neolithic site). Remains of megaloceros were discovered in an archaeological layer dated between 14,000 and 13,000 years BC. Bonnières-sur-Seine was, under the Ancien Régime, a staging post for stagecoaches on the Caen-Paris road. Bonnières-sur-Seine absorbed the former commune of Le Ménil-Renard around 1794.
