A little history
No trace of occupation has been confirmed during the Roman period, either archaeologically or bibliographically. During the medieval period there was at Blacé a Benedictine monastery founded by the sires de Beaujeu under the name of Grammont. By his will sealed in November 1263, Guichard V de Beaujeu bequeathed an annual income of 40 sous viennois to this priory in honour of the memory of his father Humbert and his sister.
