A little history
Around ten megalithic monuments, principally dolmens, exist in the commune, notably at Crafel, Toulvern, le Couédic, le Rohello and on the islands of Berder, Gavrinis and l'Île Longue, and a "Mur des Vénètes" (a wall and a ditch forming an entrenchment) in the oppidum of la Pointe du Blair. Six polished axes and three round percussion grinders found near a dolmen at Kergonano are on display at the British Museum.
