A little history
The commune was created on 1 January 2016 by a prefectoral order of 16 December 2015, through the merger of eight communes, under the legal framework of communes nouvelles established by law no 2010-1563 of 16 December 2010 on the reform of local authorities. The communes of Athis-de-l'Orne, Bréel, La Carneille, Notre-Dame-du-Rocher, Ronfeugerai, Ségrie-Fontaine, Taillebois and Les Tourailles became communes déléguées, and Athis-de-l'Orne is the chef-lieu of the new commune.
