A little history
1843-1845, the Bocquet, Cohin & Cie linen spinning mill was established on the banks of the Somme on a property belonging to Alexandre Dehesdin. On 11 July 1906, a railway accident occurred. Source (text and photograph), « En Picardie - La Somme autrefois », by Jacques Béal (Éditions Horvath, 1982). The storm on that day had a beneficial effect. 300 workers from a factory in Saint-Sauveur were waiting in their workshop, at closing time, for a lull in the weather.
