Its inhabitants are called the Vouneuillois. The commune comprises three distinct areas, Pouzioux-la-Jarrie (to the north), le Centre Bourg and Précharaux (to the south).
A little history
Vouneuil-sous-Biard welcomed the advances of the French Revolution with enthusiasm. The commune planted a tree of liberty, a symbol of the Revolution. It became the rallying point for all the festivities and the main revolutionary events, such as the levée en masse at the end of 1793, and the celebration marking the recapture of Toulon from the English.
