A little history
Within the commune of Sainte-Jamme, numerous traces remain of the prestigious past of the foundries of Antoigné. The former canteen, converted into a museum, retraces part of that past. It can be visited on request through the Association des anciens fondeurs. Regarding the origins of iron metallurgy in the Pays du Mans, this dates back to around the 7th century BC.
