Anissant de Caumont was lord of Sainte-Bazeille, de Landerron, de Puch, de Monheurt and other places before 1247. He belonged to the family de Caumont and lived at the time of Guillaume II de Caumont. He was the second son of Nompar Ier de Caumont, seigneur de Lauzun, and Guillelmine de Boville. He married Rembours de Périgord, daughter of Archambaud, comte de Périgord, vicomte de Lomagne and d'Auvillars.
