A little history
Charles Athanase Walckenaer gives the district of Saint-Rambert as being the territory of the Ambarres. Saint Domitien. According to legend, the origins of the town of Saint-Rambert date back to saint Domitien, in the 5th century. Domitien is said to have founded a monastery and a hospice on the banks of the Brevon, around 440. This "désert", where "faux-monnayeurs" had previously hidden, was called Bébronne. Saint Rambert. In the 7th century, Ragnebert, a noble and pious Frankish knight (a "leude"), fell victim to obscure power intrigues during the reign of the "roi fainéant" Thierry III.
