A little history
The site of Rozay-en-Brie has probably been occupied since Prehistory. During the Neolithic period, forest (Brigia Sylva) covered 80% of the Brie. Hunting and gathering were practised. Between 2500 and 1000 BC, deforestation was progressive, the population grew and worked copper, bronze, then iron. The land was brought under cultivation.
