A little history
An archaeological diagnostic operation carried out by the INRAP in 2006 in the rue du Commandant-Pinson led to the discovery of evidence of Gaulish occupation (end of the Iron Age). Features observed included ditches, one of which was bordered by a palisade, pits, post holes and a well-preserved pottery kiln. This evidence tends to prove the existence of a small settlement from the end of the 2nd century to the beginning of the 1st century BC on the territory of Prigonrieux.
