A little history
On 14 July 1944, very significant weapon drops took place in the commune, on the ground known as « Serrurier », carried out by American B-17 aircraft from the « 96th Bomb Group » of the USAAF as part of the Opération Cadillac. A stele was placed on the site in 1994. The commune merged in 1973 under the fusion-association scheme with the communes of Loupiac, Saint-Christophe-les-Gorges and Tourniac.
