A little history
A Gallo-Roman necropolis, the Vieux Moulin, was discovered at Verville. The église Saint-Symphorien was built between 1185 and 1200. The parish was a possession of the abbaye de Chelles in the 12th century. The manoir Launay, situated in the fief de Launay, was rebuilt around 1600 for Goeffroy de Cœuret de Nesles (around 1560–1639), who was a knight and lord of Nesles.
