A little history
In 2023, archaeological excavations in the Péri-Ouest zone led to the discovery of amphorae and vessels from the Gaulish period. The pierre Panlaire is a boundary stone standing at the roadside at the junction of the roads running from Coulounieix to Razac and from Coursac to Marsac, near the lieu-dits les Farges and Perlijoux. Originally, in the 15th century, it marked the boundary of four parishes that became communes at the Revolution, at the end of the 18th century. Having been moved about ten metres, it now stands on the territory of the commune of Coulounieix-Chamiers.
