Malbuisson is a French commune situated in the département of Doubs, the cultural and historical region of Franche-Comté and the administrative region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, on the shore of the lac de Saint-Point. Its inhabitants are known as the Malbuissonnais and Malbuissonnaises. Perched above the lac de Saint-Point, between the water and the forest, the village of Malbuisson stretches over two kilometres between the Vézenay, a hamlet that was formerly a village in its own right, and the forêt de la Fuvelle.
A little history
Between 1790 and 1794, Malbuisson absorbed Le Vezenay. In 1856, Malbuisson absorbed the former village of Chaudron along with Montperreux. In 1994, Malbuisson was a stage town of the Tour de France.
