Lognes, the town
Lognes covers 3.4 km², lies between 70 and 109 m above sea level and had 15,074 inhabitants in the 2023 census.
Lognes (pronounced [lɔɲ]) is a French commune situated in the département of Seine-et-Marne in the Île-de-France region. From 248 inhabitants in 1975, Lognes had nearly 15,000 in 2009. Described as the "première ville asiatique de France" with 40% of its population, it is nicknamed the "ville du dragon".
A little history
Weapons and armour found near Lognes have been taken as evidence of the battle fought in 1114 by Louis le Gros against Guy le Rouge, seigneur of Gournay-sur-Marne, and Thibaut, comte de Champagne. The presence of archaeological remains bears witness to a Neolithic and subsequently Gallo-Roman occupation of the site of Lognes. The name Lognes appears in the 7th century in the form "laucaunia sylvia" in one of the rare written sources of the period, la chronique de Frédégaire. The appearance that this part of the plateau de la Brie presented at that time was that of a vast wooded expanse marked here and there by a few human settlements.

Selling in Lognes
Pricing in Lognes starts by placing your property inside the €3,000 to €4,186 band rather than on the median alone. The median describes the middle of the market; condition, floor, outdoor space and energy rating decide where in the band you sit.
With 104 sales a year, Lognes is regular without being deep. Positioning matters more here than in a dense market, because a buyer who steps back is not immediately replaced.
Briveo values your Lognes property from the same DVF file, keeping only sales of comparable properties closest to your address, free of charge and with no obligation, then supports the sale through to the deed.
Buying in Lognes
Reading the €3,000 to €4,186 band is a buyer’s main tool in Lognes. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
A stable market usually means a negotiation decided by the property itself rather than by any general trend.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
