A little history
It was in 752 that the name Lisses first appeared. The lands of Lisses belonged at that time to lords and peasants cultivated the cleared land. Around the year 800 the land of Lisses was attached to the abbaye de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. It was in 998 that mention of Lisses was found for the first time in a deed of donation to the abbey under the authorisation of Burchard Comte de Corbeil, de Meulun et de Paris.
