A little history
The lords of Lablachère were from time immemorial the same as those of Joyeuse, the Bermond, the Châteauneuf-Randon and the Joyeuse. Among the noble families of the parish, the oldest is that of la Saulmée (de Salmesia) and then La Saumès. They had their residence at the château of that name, very close to the hamlet of La Jaujon, the chief town of the parish. It is certain that the current château is not the same as the original one.
