A little history
Human presence on the territory of the commune is attested from the Neolithic period, as evidenced by the menhir de la Haute Borne. Various parts of the commune still contain tools belonging to prehistoric hunters, such as hand axes and stone axes. A small Gallo-Roman agricultural settlement was established at the lieu-dit le Bas-d'Ury from the 1st to the 4th century. The village itself has existed since the early Middle Ages.
