A little history
The territory of L'Isle-Adam has been occupied since prehistoric times. L'abbé Breuil (1867–1961), an eminent prehistorian, discovered at the beginning of the twentieth century flint tools from the Palaeolithic period on the banks of the Oise. Furthermore, monuments from the Neolithic period are dotted throughout the region around L'Isle-Adam, at Parmain, Presles, in the forêt de Carnelle and in the bois de la Tour du Lay. Burials from the Bronze Age were uncovered at the end of the twentieth century on the communal territory, one near the ru du Vivray and the other near the ru du Bois.

Selling in L'Isle-Adam
Pricing in L'Isle-Adam starts by placing your property inside the €3,318 to €5,189 band rather than on the median alone. The median describes the middle of the market; condition, floor, outdoor space and energy rating decide where in the band you sit.
With 178 sales a year, L'Isle-Adam absorbs correctly priced properties. An over-ambitious price shows quickly, because buyers have points of comparison.
Briveo values your L'Isle-Adam property from the same DVF file, keeping only sales of comparable properties closest to your address, free of charge and with no obligation, then supports the sale through to the deed.
Buying in L'Isle-Adam
Reading the €3,318 to €5,189 band is a buyer’s main tool in L'Isle-Adam. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Prices moving up narrow the room for negotiation without closing it, a property that has been on the market a long time is negotiable whatever the trend says.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
