Garéoult (pronounced "Garéou", in Provençal "Garèu" (pronounced "Garew")) is a French commune situated in the département of Var, in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It is part of the intercommunal grouping of the communauté d'agglomération de la Provence Verte.
A little history
90 burials were discovered during excavation campaigns in 1988. Some of them are thought to date from the Gallo-Roman period. Others, more recent, are thought to date from the Middle Ages. The site was occupied at the end of the Middle Ages, as attested by its four banal dated prior to 1500, as well as the remains discovered during the 1988 excavations.
