A little history
The Celto-Ligurians established a watchtower at the top of the rocky promontory, overlooking the access road to the oppidum of Saint-Lambert, located 5 km to the north-west. After the destruction of Antea by the Romans, many families settled on the territory of Flayosc. Three kilometres from the village, near the chapelle Saint-Pierre de Lavarron, numerous Gallo-Roman remains were discovered (lamps, vases, coins, bricks…) as well as a funerary inscription of C. Julius (musée de Draguignan).
